Drains Drains go Away!

After my double mastectomy I woke up with five drains. I had 3 on my left side and 2 on my right. Each day I have to empty and measure how much my body is emitting. Today marks two weeks since my surgery and I saw my plastic surgeon today. He removed 4 of the 5 drains and I feel like a new woman. I still have to deal with one but that will be easy.

I also saw my breast surgeon and she said I was doing well with my recovery and I'm now in the hands of the plastic surgeon and my oncologist. I don't even see her again until next year.
